This notice covers the Contender startup auction waitlist on contender.fun, operated by Theodore Thornton-Brown (Contender). It covers this marketing site, not an auction account or acquisition.

What we collect

Your email address, whether you want to sell, buy or both, your agreement to launch updates and the version of that wording, a submission timestamp and request reference, and a short campaign label if one is present. You may optionally share a product URL, category and stage, or an acquisition budget and interests. You do not need to provide these extra details to join.

What your agreement means

We use your details to send launch updates about selling and buying startups on Contender, and to understand what interests you. We do not sell the list or use it for someone else's marketing. A previous signup for a different Contender product is not treated as consent to this new startup auction list.

Where it is stored

In Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc.), visible to the Contender operator through the hosting account. Netlify also processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to run and protect the service. See Netlify's privacy policy.

This site sets no advertising pixels or analytics cookies. We do not fetch the product URLs you submit.

How long we keep it

Until six months after launch, or until you ask us to remove it. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal suppression record to avoid contacting you again by mistake. A new form submission does not override an earlier request to stop emails; requests are checked by the operator before any mailing.

Contact and privacy requests

Use this form to stop launch updates, ask for deletion or a copy of your data, or contact the operator. A person reviews each request and may need to check that the email address belongs to you. Any future launch email will also explain how to unsubscribe.
